For people who choose the 2D1N Mount Kinabalu extreme climb, getting through both days can be an interesting challenge. Even though during the first day you will basically have the freedom to explore the Kinabalu National Park, you will need a good night’s rest, since you will start the second day bright and early in the A.M. with a 3 and a half hour hike.

One of the great advantages of choosing a two day trip to Mount Kinabalu is that you get to explore the beautiful surrounding areas for an entire day before actually starting your climbing experience.

The itinerary is formed this way to allow climbers to relax after their journey, get used to the area, and enjoy their time freely while observing the natural beauty of the park.

With thousands of different plants and wildlife species, you will find that there is never a dull moment during your first day, especially while enjoying the cool and refreshing change of air you will notice while stepping into the National Park.

In contrast to your first day, the second one will be far more challenging. Starting at around 7:30 AM, you will already be making your way from the Timpohon Gate on the difficult hike towards the Laban Rata rest houses.

If you like viewing beautiful nature landscapes and especially if you enjoyed your time spent in the Kinabalu National Park, you will simply love this hike as the jungle like landscape, the unique species of birds and other wildlife and the exotic plants you will find on the way will make the entire journey worthwhile.

Even though the 2D1N Mout Kinabalu extreme climb is not a journey that you should take lightly, as by noon on the second day you will already have reached the Mt.
