Climbing Mount Kinabalu is already a challenge for most tourists, and not many have the courage of taking on the 2D1N Lows Peak Via Ferrata challenge, especially after a long and difficult climb on the Timpohon Gate path.

The hike to the well-known Laban Rata huts about 3300 meters above sea level is already a challenging experience for newbie climbers, especially when it comes to choosing one of the extreme climbing packages that ends up testing their endurance and strength.

The remarkable Via Ferrata experience you get afterwards, however, is in a class of its own, and it definitely isn’t suited for people who are afraid of heights.

Mount Kinabalu has the world’s highest Via Ferrata, with its longest route – the Lows Peak Circuit – being considered a true challenge even for the best climbers.

After hours of climbing some of the steepest slopes, literally fighting against the harsh terrain and pushing the limits of your upper body muscles to complete the Low’s Peak Circuit, you will be able to enjoy many of the hidden and remote locations of the mountain that very few have ever had the privilege to see.

Low’s Peak is the longest route of the Mount Kinabalu via Ferrata, and it basically consists of a 2 hour long rope route interrupted by a difficult 30 minutes of plantation trekking. The strength of your feet will definitely be tested here, but you will particularly need accuracy and endurance when it comes to using your upper body due to the steep climb.

Unlike other climbing trips, the 2D1N Lows Peak Via Ferrata will also strain your legs and feet during the descent, which will definitely be a worthy test for each and every climber brave enough to choose the Lows Peak Circuit.
